Frequently Asked Questions

Ask A Question
  • What makes Rush Soccer different?

Rush Soccer is the largest soccer club in the world. At Rush, you are a part of something bigger . . . we stand behind and believe in our core values.  We are committed to providing an unparalleled soccer experience for all who have an interest in the game.

Rush promotes the development of character, the electricity of competition, and the importance of pure enjoyment. We believe that all players should be afforded an equal opportunity to explore their potential and participate in challenging circumstances that will yield positive outcomes. We are committed to making soccer a pleasant, safe, and rewarding experience for everyone involved, regardless of age or ability.

SoCal Rush is built for serious player development — Our academy invests directly in players through funding, top-level coaching, and a professional training environment. Every decision is guided by our mission to produce elite, intelligent, and technically excellent players prepared for the next level — whether college, pro, or international play.

  • If I missed tryouts can I still join?

Yes. Players interested in joining SoCal Rush may do so at any time — there’s no need to wait for the next tryout window. Eligible players will be invited to train with their age group to determine the best developmental placement, provided it complies with the policies of our participating leagues.

  • Do you have a refund policy?

Yes. Once a player commits and accepts a roster spot, fees are non-refundable. This ensures the club can uphold its obligations to coaches, facilities, and league commitments. Exceptions may be considered only in documented medical or relocation circumstances. Written Technical Documentation setting forth the medical reason(s) must be provided to the Club by a medical practitioner prior to the refund.

There are no refunds given for any other reason.

  • Are there discounts or special assistance available to help cover the fees?

Yes. Our Funded Academy Program covers full or costs for selected players based on merit and long-term potential. Additional assistance may be available for families demonstrating financial hardship. Each case is reviewed confidentially.

  • Will club events be canceled due to weather?

Training and games will continue in most weather conditions; however, sessions may be canceled or rescheduled if fields are closed due to rain, heat advisories, or poor air quality.

Field closures and safety decisions are made based on guidance from the facility operator, local Parks and Recreation department, or air quality reports.

When conditions make it unsafe to play, families will receive immediate notification through official club communication channels, and makeup sessions may be arranged when possible.

  • What type of commitment do I need to make to Competitive Soccer?

SoCal Rush is built for players and families who are serious about development. Every program requires a strong level of commitment — but expectations differ between our Academy and Competitive divisions.

     • Academy:

The Academy operates as a high-performance environment designed for players pursuing the next level — collegiate or professional soccer. This program requires full commitment to training, games, film review, and off-field standards. Attendance, preparation, and attitude are non-negotiable.

     • Competitive:

Our Competitive program also demands consistency, effort, and accountability, but allows more flexibility for players balancing other activities or new to structured soccer environments.

Regardless of level, SoCal Rush players are expected to uphold our core values — Respect, Discipline, Growth, and Ambition — and to represent the club with professionalism on and off the field.
